I read about the use and properties of leaves.

Green leaves are a primary food source and they create oxygen that we breathe (by taking carbon-dioxide from the air). Green plants also have an important role in determining rainfall patterns and reducing erosion.

Leaves vary in size, shape, colour and texture. The upper side of leaves is often shinier than underneath. Leaves that are alive are more translucent compared to leaves that are drying out and become opaque.
